SCJH/BJH REBEL RUSH The SCJH/Bradford JH coop XC teams hosted their first home XC meet ever on Saturday August 27. The SCJH/BJH Rebel Rush as the meet was known as had four teams competing (Cambridge, Putnam County, Sherrard & SCJH/BJH). The Girls finished second behind Cambridge in the Girls race. For the second meet in a row, Dusti Smith (13:18) was the Girls Champion. Darilis Knobloch (15:25 - 2nd), Norah Rorem (15:40 - 4th), Kaylee Goerks (19:37 - 11th) & Jalynn Conlin (20:47 - 14th) were the other runners for the Girls. Darilis and Kaylee were running their first XC race after missing the first meet. Jalynn set a new PB beating her time from two weeks ago at Knoxville by 42 seconds. The Boys were the Boys Champions in their race since they were the only team with 5 or more runners. Evan Knobloch (13:06) running his first XC meet after sitting out the first meet with an injury was the Boys Champion. The other 4 scorers for the Boys were Hunter Ely (14:31 - 5th), Will Denton (14:59 - 6th), Micah Stubbs (15:06 - 7th) & Erik Knobloch (15:38 - 9th). Also running for the Boys were Isaac Macke (18:44 - 11th) & Aidan Grinnell (20:29 - 13th). There were 14 finishers in the Girls race and 15 finisher in the Boys race. Great race by all of the SCJH/BJH runners on a very tough course!!! The teams will next compete in a triangular meet at Farmington JH on Tuesday August 30. The meet will start at 4:00 PM. Teams scheduled to run the meet are SCJH/BJH, Mossville & Farmington.
